Lund University, Sweden

Venue:
Ingvar Kamprad Design Centrum, Lund University

Organiser:

Ergonomics and Aerosol Technology at Lund University, Sweden

In cooperation with:

Queensland University of Technology, Australia
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany

Invited speakers
We have invited several international experts within nanosafety, spread of airborne disease, exposure assessment, toxicology, epidemiology and legislation. Among the keynote speakers are: Lidia Morawska, Otmar Schmid, Christopher Chao, Dick Heederik, Stefan Engel, Arsen Melikov, Nicklas Raun Jacobsen and Steffen Loft.

Why a conference?
The main aim of this conference is to enable knowledge and ideas exchange and to promote interdisciplinary cooperation in solving challenging problems such as determination of mechanisms behind observed health effect due to exposure to airborne particles as well as development of control and prevention strategies in working environments, public places and private homes.

The conference will continue and build on experience of a Conference on Workplace Aerosols organised by GAeF (Association for Aerosol Research, Gesellschaft für Aerosolforschung e. V.) in June 2010 in Karlsruhe in Germany.

The conference is also a result of a forum on nanoparticles in indoor environments held at Healthy Buildings Conference 2009 in Syracuse, USA.
