The Risk and Safety Management area focuses on identifying and managing risk and safety problems in the work environment and in major security-critical complex systems. The interaction between man, technology and organizations (MTO, Human Factors) is a key starting point, as is our research that explores ways to increase safety and sustainability.

The research is often multidisciplinary and is conducted in close collaboration with various industrial sectors, the healthcare sector and government authorities. Our research covers areas such as preventive work environment and safety management, the creation of safe work conditions and design of workplaces, but also touches on the areas of safety culture in organizations, human behavior, system approaches and learning for safety.
