Chuansi Gao

My research areas:

  1. Human thermal environments: human and thermal environment interactions, the effects of physical work, clothing and thermal climate factors including heat and cold on heat balance, health, thermal comfort and performance, development of personal protection and  strategies to cope with thermal stress, maintain productivity and prevent heat and cold induced stress and illnesses through transdisciplinary approach.
  2. Prevention of slips and falls, gait biomechanics, balance and slip resistance of human movement, human physical work capacity.
